United 777 N2748U returns to Taipei after hydraulic issue

United Airlines flight UA872, operating from Taipei to San Francisco, returned to Taiwan Taoyuan Airport after a hydraulic system issue shortly after departure. The Boeing 777-300ER dumped fuel for around 20 minutes before landing safely, with tyre damage reported on the left main landing gear after touchdown.
