This monument, replicates the seaplane called "Lusitania", and commemorates the First Aerial Crossing of the South Atlantic, between Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro from 30 March to 17 June 1922. This journey was made by pilots Gago Coutinho and Sacadura Cabral.
